Nate joined VFPE in 2023. As an Accounting & Operations Analyst, Nate’s responsibilities include the functions of accounting, investor reporting, investor relations and operations of the firm. Nate formerly served as a Finance & Logistics Analyst at a local distribution firm, gaining valuable experience in accounting, financial analysis, and internal process improvement.
Nate earned his B.S in Finance from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and is in pursuit of the CFA designation. Nate lives in West Grove, PA and enjoys hiking, playing basketball, and training jiu jitsu.
Chris joined VFPE in 2023. As a Real Estate Analyst, Chris supports the acquisition process for real estate investments. He also supports VFPE’s deal sourcing, operations, investor relations, and investment reporting functions. Chris formerly served as an Analyst on the acquisitions team at City Line Capital for two years where he assisted in the underwriting, due diligence, and closing of over $700M of direct Real Estate investment. Chris attended Lafayette College where he earned a B.A. in Economics and a B.A. in Political Science. Chris enjoys spending time with his friends and family, fishing, golfing, and supporting Philly sports.
Daniel joined VFPE in 2022. As both Vice President of Operations and Chief Compliance Officer, Daniel’s responsibilities include partnership reporting, SEC compliance, and oversight of the firm’s accounting and finance functions. Daniel formerly served as Vice President in the Financial Reporting Asset Servicing department at BNY Mellon where he gained knowledge in accounting, financial analysis, audit, and SEC compliance.
Daniel attended Grove City College where he earned a B.S. in Finance from the GCC School of Business. He also earned an M.B.A. from Grand Canyon University with a focus in Finance. He and his wife, Caitlin, live in West Chester, PA with their two sons, Thomas and James.
Mike joined VFPE in 2009. He is a Managing Member and serves on the Investment Committee. Previously, Mike held several financial management roles at General Electric and WP Realty, a shopping center redevelopment company. Mike holds Life and Health Insurance licenses, FINRA Series 6, 22, 63 licenses, and maintains the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designation.
Mike attended Boston University where he earned a B.S. in Finance, magna cum laude, from the Questrom School of Business. He is also a graduate of General Electric’s Financial Management Program. Mike currently serves on the Board of Directors and Finance Committee for the Malvern Retreat House. He is also a Board Member and Treasurer of the Haverford Partnership for Economic Development. Mike, his wife Jenny, and three children live in Havertown, PA. He is an avid runner and triathlete and enjoys competing in several races throughout the year.
Mike co-founded VFPE in 2002 alongside his brother, Sean Maher. He is a Managing Member and serves on the Investment Committee. Mike holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 51, 63, and 65 licenses.
Mike attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the Cameron School of Business. A current member and past chairman of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization, Mike, his wife Robyn, and their family live in Chester Springs, PA. He volunteers his time with several worthy organizations including Natural Lands, St. Elizabeth Parish, and the Sisters of Notre Dame. Mike enjoys spending time with family, any type of fishing, birdwatching, and exploring the great outdoors.

Sean attended Cornell University where he earned a B.S. in Finance and Food and Beverage from the Cornell School of Hotel Administration. Sean has written for the leading financial press, including Trust and Estates, The Journal of Financial Planning, and National Underwriter. Sean has also served as a speaker for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and The Planned Giving Council of Philadelphia. He and his wife Jill live in Phoenixville, PA and are the proud parents of three children. Sean is a lifelong swimmer and enjoys fishing, biking, skiing, and working in the garden.
Mike joined VFPE in 2019. He is President & Managing Director and serves on the Investment Committee. Mike brings over a decade of experience in private equity and direct investing to VFPE. He began his career at PNC Bank in the Financial Services and Advisory Banking division before spending eight years at GMH Ventures, the private equity arm of the Holloway Family Office. Mike holds FINRA Series 6, 22, and 63 licenses.
Mike attended the University of Notre Dame where he earned a B.B.A from the Mendoza College of Business as a Finance major. He was also a member of the Men’s Lacrosse team, serving as captain his senior year. Mike is an active member of several alumni associations at Malvern Prep. He and his wife, Rachel, live in Havertown with their son, Charlie, and twins Mikey and Mia. Mike enjoys golfing, playing basketball and following all things Notre Dame.
